Idea cup 1st odi live streaming

“Sri Lanka is one of the toughest places to play cricket as you don’t get a lot of runs on slow, low wickets. You have to always stay positive,” he said.

The Indian ODI side would also be infused with the freshness of Yuvraj Singh, who hit an explosive 172 against the Lankan XI in a practice match and gave indication that he was in the best of his forms.

The Punjab-batsman, however, said Mendis and Muttiah Muralitharan, who made India bite dust in the Tests, would make a deadly combo.

“Obviously, I have to face a better attack when I play the ODI. But my innings was against an international side. With Mendis and Muralitharan, Sri lanka will have a potent attack,” said Yuvraj.

After a dismal showing by the batsmen in the Test series, the visitors will also have to pay special attention to building up partnerships during the ODIs as it would be the key in posting big scores.

However, the victory in the practice match against a moderate Lankan XI bowling attack, after scoring heavily in a slow and low wicket, would have done a world of good to the demoralised visitors.

For Sri Lanka, it is not so much the batting line up that the home team needs to worry about, but the combination of bowlers as captain Mahela Jayawardene has no bowling all-rounder in the squad to choose from in the first two ODIs.

INDIA VS SRILANKA 3RD TEST DAY 1

Dinesh Karthik had done little behind the stumps in the first two Tests to inspire confidence in the bowlers and, with his captain among the bowlers to suffer, he may be axed in favour of Parthiv Patel, who last played a Test in October 2004. The rest of the line-up remains the same.
India (probable) 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 Sourav Ganguly, 6 VVS Laxman, 7 Parthiv Patel (wk), 8 Anil Kumble (capt), 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Ishant Sharma. Sri Lanka decided to stick on with Michael Vandort - 17 runs in three innings so far - but were not as kind to Nuwan Kulasekara, who has taken one wicket in the two Tests. They are yet to decide whether they to pick Thilan Thushara, the left-arm medium-pacer, or hand out a debut to Dammika Prasad, whose pace has been a talking point ever since he was added to the squad after the first Test.
Sri Lanka (probable) 1 Michael Vandort, 2 Malinda Warnapura, 3 Kumar Sangakkara, 4 Mahela Jayawardene (capt), 5 Thilan Samaraweera, 6 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 7 Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), 8 Chaminda Vaas, 9 Muttiah Muralitharan, 10 Ajantha Mendis, 11 Thilan Thushara/Dammika Prasad.
