After the loss of Ashes, Australia was hoping for a little revival of their honor by winning the T20 games at least, but rain god marred the first T20 match and it finally got abandoned with a nil-all result.

In the match Aussies were inching forward for a better edge as Brett Lee and Johnson opened against England with full fury. They were definitely looking on top when rain intervened the match.

Aussies were hoping to continue with their charged-up emotion in the forthcoming T20 match on September 01, 2009 at Manchester. Aussies will be captained by Michael Clarke and Paul Collingwood will lead England.

Australia will be looking forward to a decent total to defend and once again they will depend upon Cameron White for a good start. On the other side England will not rest on their laurels and is expected to charge back. However the team will definitely miss Andrew Flintoff whose knee injury will keep him out of the game for some time now.

First-up, however, there is a stop-over in Belfast that might, in days gone by, have represented a convivial way to unwind in a green and pleasant land renowned for its appreciation of a party. But not in this unstinting professional era. The Irish are the pace-setters of cricket's second tier - streets ahead of their traditional rivals, Scotland (who take on the Aussies in Edinburgh on Friday) and itching to put one over the English, for a variety of reasons that extend beyond mere sporting instincts. For starters, there is the likely presence in England's line-up of Eoin Morgan - a member of the Irish side that captured the imagination at the 2007 World Cup, but now a targeted man after switching his allegiance to further his career. And then there's the large Australian influence in the squad, all of whom are gunning for vengeance for their mother country, not least the former captain, Trent Johnston

Date: 09 Aug 2009

Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak has been ruled out of Bangladesh's upcoming tour of Zimbabwe beginning next week. Razzak, who strained his hamstring while batting in the third ODI against West Indies at St Kitts on Friday, will be returning home to continue with his recovery.

Enamul Haque jnr has been named as his replacement for the tour scheduled between August 9-18 and comprising a warm-up match and five ODIs.

Razzak, 27, was reported for a suspect action in November 2008 and he was suspended from bowling in international cricket. The ICC cleared him the following year and soon after, he was picked for the World Twenty20 in England. He was also Bangladesh's highest wicket-taker during their recent 3-0 ODI whitewash of West Indies, picking up seven at 22.85.
